We all know, abstractly at least, that galaxies other than the one to which we belong are really really far away, but what does that really mean?Thanks to the folks at NASA, we can now get a bit of a more visceral sense not only of just how far away objects in space can be, but how incredibly awesome the resolution of our telescopes is and how ridiculously cool it is to zoom in to what originally looks like an empty dot of nothingness...
